Inspired by interior design, and more specifically by a velvet fabric with vegetal pattern that covers some furniture pieces in Maison Belmont, this ring pays tribute to the acanthus leaf.
 
In the language of flowers, the acanthus means “Nothing can separate us”. This plant motif was used by the Greeks, Egyptians and other Eastern cultures. The leaf itself also inspired Renaissance artists, a period dear to the founder of Maison Belmont.
 
In 18-carat yellow gold, the leaves that are handcrafted and set with 236 8/8 cut diamonds for a total of 0.32 carat, support the central gemstone, a blue-green tourmaline of 13.7 carats. The latter is surrounded by a blackened silver octagon set with 18 amethysts for a total of 1.68 carats and 8 8/8 cut diamonds for a total of 0.02 carat.
