This sentiment jewel, susceptible of provoking an emotional thrill, is inspired by the mid-18th century. Masked balls allowed anyone to seek liaisons by way of an anonymity that erased social barriers and the constraints of rank and etiquette. The mask acts as an intermediary between oneself and the world, as it were: turned outwards but also inwards, the metamorphosis may or may not take place.

The mystery is evoked here by a masked face with diamond eyes, the ring opening onto a tourmaline heart, which thus reveals an intimate message to its wearer.

This 18-carat rose gold ring features a mask created from a white and a black agate, both cut and carved by hand. It is set with 158 diamonds, 8/8 cut, F/G colour, VS clarity, for a total of 1.8 carats, and 105 rubies, for a total of 3.08 carats. Opening the ring reveals a 0.73-carat tourmaline heart inside.
