Details

Inspired by the architectural world of Maison Belmont, this ring in 18-carat pink gold features a forest-green tourmaline of 16,91 carats, highlighted with eight oval and trillion-cut amethysts in a blackened gold surround set with amethysts and emeralds. The body of the ring is set with emeralds. Recalling the emblematic octagon of the brand, each purple petal is surrounded by a pavé of gemstones.

Known to channel strong energy, the octagon is based on the magic number “8”, born in an attempt to get closer to the alchemical problem of squaring the circle. It represents the union of the celestial and the terrestrial, a passage from earth to heaven, a transition between the material and the spiritual.

The ring name is a tribute to the “Castel del Monte”, an octagonal castle in the Puglia region, in Italy. Built with mathematical and astronomical rigour by Emperor Frederick II of Hohenstaufen, ruler of the German Roman Empire from 1212 to 1250, it reflects his desire to bring together Western and Eastern traditions. Part of the Pre-Renaissance era, this fortress gathers the main characteristics of the classical antiquity, the Muslim East and Northern European Cistercian Gothic. An extraordinary building that still holds many secrets!
